An economical transportation solution for guests who do not need a car while in Whistler is an Avis Round Trip Special. This is an alternative to bus transportation, and involves two one-way 24-hour rentals. You pick up your car rental at Vancouver airport upon arrival and make your way up to Whistler at your own pace and drop the car off with Avis within 24 hours. Then on your departure day you pick up the car in Whistler and enjoy a leisurely return trip to the Airport at the time you wish to leave.

Vancouver Airport / Whistler Shuttle Buses

The Whistler Express offers 11 scheduled services a day between Vancouver Airport and Whistler. This service will drop off and pick up at most Whistler hotels some buses will stop at the Downtown Vancouver hotels. The journey time to and from Whistler and Vancouver Airport is approximately 2 ½ hours subject to road and weather conditions. Prices start at CDN $67 one way, door to door.

Whistler Heli Service

Undoubtedly the fastest way to travel to and from Whistler is via helicopter. Take in the breathtaking scenery from the air is via helicopter. from Vancouver to Whistler. Everybody should be so lucky to travel this way.

Helijet Charters:
Dedicated to the Greater Vancouver region since 1980, Helijet Charters is Vancouver's premiere charter helicopter operation. The fleet offers a complete range of capabilities from the two-seat Robinson R-22, four-passenger Bell Jetranger, the 12-passenger Sikorsky S76, through to the 23-passenger Sikorsky S61.

Luggage space is limited. If each passenger has luggage, then most of it will be transported by ground at additional cost of approximately $250.

Following are the rates for helicopter transportation one way, to OR from the Whistler Heliport to Vancouver International Airport (South Terminal) OR Vancouver Harbour Helipad, located downtown Vancouver.

Twinstar Helicopter (5 passengers): $2470.00

* A 6% GST and additional fuel surcharge will apply to all charter/transfer rates.
* For Vancouver Harbour arrivals/departures please add $50.00 to the charter flight cost.
* Rate does not include transportation to/from designated landing area at Vancouver International Airport (South Terminal) to the main terminal, approximately 10 minutes by taxi or limousine.

Luggage Restrictions:
Due to limited cargo space, passengers are permitted to carry one (1) piece of surface luggage per person. Additional luggage needs to be transported via ground.
Should flight seats not be filled to capacity, additional luggage space may be available.
All of our ASTAR helicopters have an external basket to carry ski equipment.
