Family Time at Whistler/Blackcomb

For my 60th birthday we rented from Platinum - 2 grandparents, 3 children and grandson aged 9. The property catered for us all - comfortable, roomy and well set out. I loved the extras in the kitchen - kettle for cups of tea, rice cooker, decent knives and lots of plates and cutlery. Near the bus stop, great hot tub and overlooking the golf course where we saw a BIG black bear ambling across!
Would definately rent again, Platunum were professional, courtious and helpful - made everything easier!

Feb 2013 stay

I have stayed before at this unit and the location is the primary reason for renting it. It also has a wonder open view of the mountain range opposite Blackcomb, together with an open area which is shared by all the townhouses. This is great for the kids to build snowmen and sledge. The unit itself is badly in need of updating. The kitchen is very basic with 4 simple electric hobs above the built-in oven. The bonus is a gas BBQ on the balcony which was very handy when you have to feed the hungry masses after skiing.
The bedrooms are very spacious with 2 on the living area level and the master ensuite bedroom upstairs. Plenty of towels and some toiletries to get you through 3-4 days. As we were staying for 8 days we had a mid-stay housekeeping clean-up, new towels delivered etc which was a real bonus.
Really well managed by Whistler Platinum and the team on the ground in Whistler- they really are professional and helpful and you couldn't ask for a more willing and able team.
At the end of the day, you get for what you pay for! There are units that are much more recently decorated and they charge an extra 20% for it. Unit #28 is not pretending to be a snazzy unit with the latest decorations and mod-cons but it is a very comfortable unit that has 3 large bedrooms and a large living dining/area that can take a very large family plus host guests for dinner as well.
I would definitely stay again (coming back in the summer) and highly rate this unit to those who are cost conscious but like a large unit to stay in.

We really like the location and layout of the property, it is a cozy, family friendly space. The maintenance could use some work. One of the bedrooms has nowhere to place or hang personal items except the floor.

Delightful Whistler Weekend

We were 6 professional women visiting from Vancouver. We absolutely loved staying at Blackcomb Greens 28. The unit itself was perfect for what we needed. It is cosy, warm, very well equipped and very clean. My only complaint is the stereo system. If the owners invested in some better speakers our overall experience would have been perfect.

Really excellent condo with superior accomodation which has given us ideas for upgrading our own home! One of our party was a non skier and this was ideal for her. It was quiet and the free shuttle service worked well-we got rid of our car after the first day.

Although the condo suited our needs (just one complaint...lack of mp3 or ipod connection to play music) we found the check in desk to be disorganized, discourteous, condescending and the so called "rules" to be ridiculous (call from the closest town? i.d.s for all those under 30?). Additionally, our check in was delayed for 1 hour without any particular apology. We might not rent again from this agency for these reasons. Too bad, nice condo, lovely kitchen.

Floor heat in master bathroom still not working...same complaint in 2009!! Impossible to open garage door by driving out of the parking stall...try and see, involves lots of backing up over garage opener. Love the atmosphere and the upgraded bathrooms and kitchen. Will rent again.

Heated floors

None of the heated floors were working. I reported this, in person to the Chamois, the morning after our check in of 13th April. Was told someone would come round. No one did. Complained again at the end of our stay. A beautiful property was marred by slip shod management and a lack of interest in the guest's comfort

Well decorated and upgraded unit in Blackcomb Greens with a good open view. Location is superb- close enough to the lifts but lovely and quiet.
Kitchen is well kitted out with high-end applicances. However, some of the glassware is chipped and should be replaced and there are not enough wine and beer glasses.
Bathrooms are a particular highlight with a modern contemporary feel. If there is anything you could do to increase the water pressure that would be great.
Cable TV in the main living room went on the blink whilst we were there and nothing we could press on the various remotes could bring it back leaving "only" the 13 basic TV channels. If you can get someone in to rectify this I am sure your other guests will appreciate it.
Planning to back in Whistler in April and will definitely stay again if the unit is available.
