About the Home

Falcon's Nest Estate is a spacious 4 level, 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home located in the prestigious Blueberry Hill neighbourhood and features its own elevator. Situated on a corner lot at the end of a quiet private lane and surrounded by trees, this comfortable detached home is constructed in the classic log and beam style with vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows in the main living room. To access the slopes with ease, this home also conveniently features a parking spot at the Pan Pacific Mountainside in Whistler Village.

Common Areas

On the main living level the generous and comfortable living room features a gas fireplace and mountain views as well as a cozy sitting area by the large windows that allow for plenty of natural light. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, heated slate floors and a breakfast bar. This is complemented by the dining area that seats 10 comfortably. To accommodate large families or big groups, there is also a cozy media room with a large flat screen TV and fireplace on this level. Or head out to the large deck off the living room where you can enjoy a BBQ, scenic views or relax in the private hot tub after a day on the slopes. For those who need to stay connected there is also spacious office area on this level as well.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

Located on the main level is the first guest bedroom that features 2 sets of twin bunk beds, perfect for the kids or extra guests. There is a separate bathroom with glass-enclosed shower on this level as well as a powder room just off the entrance. On the second level, the spacious Master bedroom features a king bed, sitting area, gas fireplace and an ensuite bathroom with a glass-enclosed shower and deep soaking tub. There is also an extra lounge area just off the Master Bedroom. Located on the third floor are the final 2 guest bedrooms which both feature queen beds. There is a separate bathroom with bathtub and overhead shower on this level.

Added Conveniences

There is a heated double car garage with entry to the home, spacious mud room and storage area for all your equipment and a laundry room with washer and dryer. The home conveniently features a private elevator that stops at the lower mudroom level, main level and the master bedroom level - perfect for transporting luggage and for those who may have difficulty climbing stairs. The home also features complimentary wireless internet as well as a permit for a Village parking space at the Pan Pacific Mountainside for easy access to the slopes.

We were a group of 8 who stayed here 10 nights in February. The property was spacious and clean except for some spider net on the wall in the first floor bed room (no big issue). The gas fireplace in the main living room went on stike a couple of times but it was then swiftly fixed by the property management. A group of squirrels usually threw a party in the early morning hours on the roof which can be a bit disturbing to the people in the two upper bedrooms (if you are not an early bird). This feature was also noted by a previous guest. Overall we had a really good stay here and we loved the hot tub after a long day in the mountains.

My family of 10 stayed at Falcon's Nest for a week and found it a great place. It's very close to the Village but also not far from the snowshoeing, skiing and snowmobiling we enjoyed. It is well maintained and very clean. The couple of small glitches we experienced were dealt with efficiently and quickly by management, who were great from start to finish. The elevator was such a bonus for us as well. I would definitely stay at Falcon's Nest again.

Although the property isn't in the village, an in-village parking spot was included.

The home is lovely, suitable for our extended family that at times requires separation! Extremely clean and well-maintained. The hot tub staff were there to ensure the hot tub was up to par - an absolute necessity! No complaints, except for one night when on the third floor some squirrels decided to throw a party in the walls and keep one couple awake for three hours. But that can happen. This home on Blueberry Hill is a beautiful home with lots of space and all the amenities. Everything was great, and the elevator was the cherry on top. I'd like to add, because it wasn't mentioned at all in the description of the property, that when the sun came out we had the most gorgeous view of the mountain out the front window. What a great bonus!! We loved staying here!

We had a great stay at Falcons Nest. The house was just as nice in person as it was in the photos.

I appreciated that the house was well stocked. There were plenty of basic eating utensils and then everything one needed for cooking breakfast and dinners. The house was also supplied with paper goods, trash bags, and dish soap. Bathrooms had extra towels under the sink and shampoo and conditioner to get us started.

The location was perfect. It was nice to be out of town and have a nice quiet house with great views. It was about a 5 minute drive to town and we loved having the in town parking pass. That was very handy.

The Blueberry hiking trail is close by and the Valley trail biking trail is only a short distance away.

Overall, it was a perfect house and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay outside of Whistler proper, but sill close to everything.,

Several things that weren't perfect---1. Outdoor furniture was not out when we arrived and I had to call and ask for it. 2. Hot tub was cleaned our last afternoon, rendering it unusable 3. Carpet gave a very bad 1st impression--dingy--seems the owners need to upgrade for $$$ charged to rent it!! Otherwise excellent.

The Falcon's Nest was perfect for our family of 8; 3 couples and two children ages 3 and 5. We did not use one of the upstairs bedrooms though as the parents of the small children needed to be closer to them so they stayed in the bunk room on the lower level. The TV room/bath is right off this room so it was as if they had their own wing. (Parents did sleep in the bunk beds though) The spa was perfect, right outside the kitchen and the whole house was configured really well. Long story short...we would stay there again! Also, Whistler Platinum was very attentive and efficient in organizing our lift tickets, ski school, and rentals and ordering from Nestor's Market for a food delivery/stocking ahead of our arrival was awesome.

Just 5 minutes away from Whistler Village and away from the hustle and bustle, just what we wanted for our 3 day trip. Falcon Nest was spacious and clean as advertised and the backyard was very private and surprisingly big. The place was big enough to keep all 5 of our kids from breathing each others' air. :-) The private parking access to Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside was really useful as we made multiple trips into the village each day, located right at the base of the mountain. Overall a very nice place and we would come back again.

Suggestion to owners: It would have been great if all the upper windows had screened windows, only one had a screen. Had to keep all the windows upstairs closed day and night because of bugs/mosquitoes, and the air got stuffy, not good in 30+ degrees.
Note to renters: Would have been helpful to know there's no salt & pepper, only 3 coffee filters provided, no saran rap (It's possible I may have missed this notice in the rental listing but we assumed the basics would be provided). We ran out to shop for these right away but we could have easily brought them from home if we had known.

We were actually more impressed with service from Whistler Platinum and their staff, from initial call before booking and until checkout. We took advantage of their concierge service to book multiple activities for 7 of us with different activities. They booked everything for us, we just showed up to the events and enjoyed. Awesome professional, courteous service, made our last minute booking/trip easy. Would definitely book all our Whistler trips via Whistler Platinum.

perfect setup for family+friends for our ski vacation. good value during spring break week.
platinum folks were very responsive and helpful.
Unit is easy drive to village/slopes, with nice privacy and views. Unit is nicely appointed, with just about everything you need.
Two deficiencies with the unit that owners should address for the future: the water heater is undersized; we had a party of 7 , and the maximum number of showers that could be taken before hot water ran out was 3. Not acceptable for this size and category of property. Also, there is only 1 heating zone for a four story house. This causes the downstairs to be unduly cold while the upstairs is like a sauna. Should install zone dampers on the furnace to regulate heat to each floor.

We were happy with the house for size and space, however, the driveway is horrible - not lit and you need to reverse the whole way out. Salt/and should be provided. I could not get up the driveway.
The quality of the small items in the kitchen (knives, potato masher, electric mixer etc) was poor. We were missing items like oven mitts.
The house is older and dated, but comfortable and clean.
The location within Whistler was ideal for us, it was just the location on the lane that was my issue.

This particular home is located at the end of a small private lane, which can be a bit tricky to maneuver, and it is dim as Whistler offers all visitor and homes owners a low light pollution village . However the privacy and quiet you get once in the home is worth it, not to mention the stargazing from the hot tub. We do our best to keep the driveway and walkways clear, and are always happy to come out to perform touch ups. There is also a bucket in the garage with ice salt, for those DIY types. Since reading your review we have upgraded many of the small kitchen items, thank you for bringing this to our attention and we apologize for it not being attended to prior to your arrival. the home on Falcon Lane is spacious and works well for a large family. It is showing a lot of signs of wear and tear. Beds fine, furniture OK but kitchen very poorly stocked. Pans need replacing, no coffee maker filters supplied, no pasta strainer, knives very dull. Compared to other properties we've rented this was surprising and at little disapointing considering that this is a high end property.
Could use a waffle iron, and at least a salt and pepper shaker.
Would perhaps look a a newer property next time.

In regards to the comments on the kitchen inventory, we do our best to ensure that all of our kitchens are stocked to prepare most meals, and that there is enough kitchen wares for the total occupancy of the house plus an extra 2. This particular house has a set of high quality cast iron frying pans; cast iron pans do require some upkeep so we have gone in and seasoned them accordingly. We have also sharpened all of the knives and apologize that this was not attended to prior to your arrival. For future guests the home also has a knife sharpener in case you wish to fine tune them prior to cooking. We never provide items such as coffee filters or salt and pepper in our homes, and encourage all guests to bring their own, or contact us and we will gladly assist you in arranging groceries delivered to your door. Minimum Age Requirement

The minimum age requirement for 4+ Bedroom units is 30 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. The minimum age requirement for 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units is 25. Guests can be denied check-in if they do not meet the minimum age policy.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Summer Season - May 1 to October 31: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of rent plus tax is taken at the time of booking. The balance of your stay is automatically charged 30 days prior to arrival. For bookings made within 30 days of arrival, the full amount will be charged at the time of booking and is non-refundable.

Winter Season - November 1 to April 30: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of rent plus tax is taken at the time of booking. The balance of your stay is automatically charged 60 days prior to arrival. For bookings made within 60 days of arrival, the full amount will be charged at the time of booking and is non-refundable.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and bank transfers. Payments are non-refundable once processed.

Security Deposit

A security deposit will be required upon arrival. The security deposit will be held by way of a pre-authorization on a valid credit card. Guest (s) will either be required to sign a credit card authorization slip for the amount of the security deposit or enter their PIN for CHIP enabled credit cards. Cheques will not be accepted. The Manager may capture part or all of the security deposit to cover costs for excess cleaning, property damage, missing inventory, and noise violation fines imposed by a strata or the municipality. The amount of your deposit varies depending on the property reserved; One Bedroom: $500, Two Bedroom: $1000, Three Bedroom: $1500, Three Bedroom Den and Four Bedroom: $2000, Five and Six Bedroom: $2500, Kadenwood Homes: $5000.

Extra Person Charges

Rates are based on the bedding in each property. Adults sleeping on a pull out sofa bed will incur an extra charge of $50.00 CDN per person per night plus taxes. There is no additional fee for children under 18 years of age.

Tax

In the event of tax alterations by the government, Whistler Platinum Reservations Ltd reserves the absolute right to collect the revised tax without prior notice.

Garbage

Each complex has a garbage room. It is the responsibility of the guest to remove garbage. To protect wildlife in Whistler please do not leave garbage outside.

Whistler Platinum must receive completed guest pre-arrival forms with requested bed configurations, number of people staying in the property and expected time of arrival a minimum of 15 days prior to arrival date, or reservation may be subject to cancellation.

Hot Tubs

Whistler Platinum ensures that all private hot tubs are maintained regularly. Guest use hot tubs at their own risk. The strata management company for the complex maintains communal hot tubs. If you experience any problems, please call our office. Occasionally, tubs may need to be shut down for maintenance. Such maintenance is unavoidable and is to protect the health of users.

Housekeeping

Your property will be fully cleaned and prepared for your arrival with fresh sheets, towels and amenities. For guests staying eight nights or longer a complimentary mid stay clean and linen change will be scheduled. Laundry facilities are available at all properties either in-suite or in the building. Additional housekeeping services, including daily service, can be arranged for an additional fee and subject to availability.

Internet and Telephones

Wireless Internet access and all local telephone calls are free.

Liability Disclaimer

Prices for accommodation and packages are subject to change without notice, and reservations are based on availability. The information, products, and services published on this website may include inaccuracies or errors, including pricing errors. In the event that accommodation or packages are listed or provided to us at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to typographical error or other error in pricing information, Whistler Platinum Reservations Ltd expressly reserves the right to correct any pricing errors on our website and/or on pending reservations made under an incorrect price. In such event, if available, we will offer you the opportunity to keep your pending reservation at the correct price or we will cancel your pending reservation without penalty.

Limit of Liability

The booking guest and all members of the said guest's party (the "Guests") agree to conform to all notices, rules and instructions in and about the home. Guests are responsible for their own conduct and that of any invitees. Manager reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse or interrupt occupancy in the event of any non-fulfillment or breach of rental conditions. Neither the Property Owner nor Manager shall be held liable for any losses, claims, damages, costs or expenses arising out of any theft, accident, injury, death, damage, delay, inconvenience or distress, whether or not arising by the negligence of the Property Owner or Manager and the Guests hereby waive any and all such liability.

A confirmed reservation by e-mail constitutes notice to Guests of these exclusionary terms and Guests are deemed to have read and agreed to the foregoing. The Guest booking this accommodation is responsible for making all members of the party aware of these terms, failing which the said Guest will be held liable to and shall save harmless and indemnify the Property Owner and Whistler Platinum, from any losses, claims, damages, costs or expenses arising as a result thereof.

Should the property become uninhabitable or unavailable, Manager reserves the right to substitute another property for the one which has been booked, with every attempt made to provide a property or properties of similar or better quality. A confirmed reservation by email constitutes notice to Guests of these terms and they are deemed to have read and agreed to the foregoing and to have irrevocably authorized Whistler Platinum accordingly.

Multiple Properties

Please note that all properties are privately-owned and are equipped according to the individual owner's taste and requirements. Groups renting more than one property need to make sure inventory stays in the property. A restocking charge will be deducted from the security deposit if items have been moved to other properties.

Non-Smoking

All of our properties are non-smoking. Any unit with evidence of smoking inside will result in a $500 fine.

Parking

All properties have a specified parking stall for one vehicle. Some larger properties have two parking stalls. There is visitor parking available at most complexes, on a first come, first served basis. The average height clearance is 6ft. 9in. Over sized vehicles are difficult to accommodate in Whistler and parking for such vehicles may not be available at peak times. Parking instructions are unique to each complex and must be followed.

Pets

Pets are permitted only in designated pet friendly properties. We ask that you leave your pets at home as they will be refused entry to a non-designated property. There will be a $500 fine for any pets or evidence of pets found in any non-designated pet-friendly units.

Towels

Adequate quantities of towels will be provided for the number of people booked. Delivery of extra towels is available, upon request.
