About the Home

A sizable unit with all the comforts of home in a location that can't be beat; The Fitzsimmons A is a 3 bedroom loft, 2 bathroom, 3 level townhome situated directly on the Village stroll enabling you to breathe in the Village energy right from your living room. The entrance to the unit is located on the second level of the building and is accessed by 2 flights of stairs.

Living Areas

The spacious open concept main level features comfy couches, a flat screen TV with DVD player, stereo, presto log fireplace and a recently renovated kitchen that features stainless steel appliances, granite counters and a breakfast bar that seats 4. The dining area seats 6 comfortably. After a day on the slopes you can relax in the home's sauna located on the second level.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

On the second level, the master bedroom features a queen bed and for added comfort a single vanity sink area. The second bedroom features two twin beds. The separate bathroom on this level features a bathtub with overhead shower and single vanity. Up another level, the third bedroom features a double bed and opens up to the loft area that features 2 double beds - perfect for kids or extra guests. There is a separate second bathroom with bathtub and overhead shower and single vanity on the main living level.

The property is at an ideal location. the condition is fair.
The only problem we found : there is no elevator so we had to carry our lugguage from the road and travel a few flight of stairs to the flat.
It's close to a bar downstairs and people do party till 3 am. You will need to wear ear plugs or be woken up in the middle of the night.

We had a wonderful Christmas/New Year's holiday in Whistler with our family. Our condo was spacious and comfortable (for 6 adults and 2 small children), the location superb, the staff at Platinum friendly and competent. We had been warned that it might get noisy as the flat is in the center of the village but we loved the lively atmosphere and in any case there was so much to do that we were completely knackered at the end of the day and didn't lose a wink of sleep. A bonus: the information booth is directly across from the flat. Everyone is Whistler is extraordinarily friendly and the layout of the resort is perfect. Our best dining experience was at the Rim Rock Café (worth reserving well in advance). I could go on....

Good size unit in heart of village. Does get a little noisy at night but earplugs solve that for sleep and tradeoff is proximity to lifts and shops. Platinum staff is great. Unit pretty nice and clean but a little mildew on bottom of tub tiles that should be easy to fix. Stairs only - no elevator. Parking right under building but a little tricky to get upstairs to condo - had to go outside or prop open ground floor door to load car. Silverware drawer a little hard to open - again an easy fix. Snow was great. Visibily was poor. But its an amazing village and mountain. Been there before and we will be back.

Check in process could have been made easier as my husband who was first to arrive was not given code to front door so had to wait for other residents to get into building. Also we were not told that we could have paid extra for door to door airport transfers we arranged this ourselves. Other than that accomodation first class, location perfect and all reservationists at Platium were alwasy very helpful and courteous. Would defintely book again with them

We had a group of 7 guys riding the park for three days and were looking for a place in the village that could sleep 7 and was reasonably priced. It met the mark on all of tos points. The location can't be beat for lift access and proximity to everything in the village. Be aware, that the location also comes at a price late in the evening with revellers spilling out of the bars - it can be vey noisy - bring ear plugs. The unit has every amenity, but the whole place is looking pretty tired and is in need of a remodel. Two disadvantages are off-location parking and no secure storage or balcony to store bikes.

Great location--there are a lot of stairs which were hard for my older parents but the location was fantastic for everything else. If we were to stay there again though, I would bring earplugs as the noise from the village doesn't stop until 2 am. With

The upstairs bathroom tap was leaking the entire stay, and we could not find a replacement light bulb for the front hall where it was really needed. As much as the location is great, it was difficult to get sleep because of outside people noise, and very early snow ploughing. Fitzsimmons windows have drafts coming in which also meant there was very little sound proofing. Because most people come from Vancouver airport, and there were 9 of us, we had 3 vehicles (which proved the cheapest method of getting us all to the village)and only 1 parking spot. This was a nuisance finding additional parking, and having to pay each day.
Having said all that, whenever I called Platinum with a question, the staff were extremely polite and helpful, and we very much enjoyed our stay.

I think the property was in a great location and I would recommend it but I do think the following needs looking at. The interior of the property could do with some updating in places. I think it is starting to look tired and in some of the bedrooms the furniture is starting to break.
Apart from that I thought it was a good place to stay.

I love the location of this condo and have been using it nearly annually for 10+ years. The only downside, there used to be a hot tub and it's now gone or the vacation renters have lost access...and it's nice to have a soak after a day or two of hard skiing at Whistler.

Had a great stay at this condo. Comfy couches, room for all of us. Liked having two bathrooms AND the bonus sink in the master bedroom. The only change is I would add tv's to a couple of the bedrooms to give everyone a chance to watch their own shows after a great day outside.

Right in the heart of the village. Close to everything you need or want to visit. Get the Poutin at the Amsterdam Cafe below, really good. Slept 8 comfortably, 2 bathrooms kind of a stretch. Has a sauna which was awesome since the community jacuzzi was out of commission. Check in was through the La Chamois hotel and their staff was really helpful. The only thing that was lame about the experience was the fake starter logs they provided for the fireplace. You only get 2 and then pay for the rest and there was no real firewood either. Also, at this day an age, it would have been nice to have a sound system with an MP3 input. OH, and although the apartment rents to 6-10 people, they only offered one small parking spot, but did help/direct us to find another one else where. Cooking stuff provided was a little limited, so cooking for more than 4 was a bit difficult. But in the end, we'd all do it again through the same spot.

Minimum Age Requirement

The minimum age requirement for 4+ Bedroom units is 30 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. The minimum age requirement for 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units is 25. Guests can be denied check-in if they do not meet the minimum age policy.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Summer Season - May 1 to October 31: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of rent plus tax is taken at the time of booking. The balance of your stay is automatically charged 30 days prior to arrival. For bookings made within 30 days of arrival, the full amount will be charged at the time of booking and is non-refundable.

Winter Season - November 1 to April 30: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of rent plus tax is taken at the time of booking. The balance of your stay is automatically charged 60 days prior to arrival. For bookings made within 60 days of arrival, the full amount will be charged at the time of booking and is non-refundable.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and bank transfers. Payments are non-refundable once processed.

Security Deposit

A security deposit will be required upon arrival. The security deposit will be held by way of a pre-authorization on a valid credit card. Guest (s) will either be required to sign a credit card authorization slip for the amount of the security deposit or enter their PIN for CHIP enabled credit cards. Cheques will not be accepted. The Manager may capture part or all of the security deposit to cover costs for excess cleaning, property damage, missing inventory, and noise violation fines imposed by a strata or the municipality. The amount of your deposit varies depending on the property reserved; One Bedroom: $500, Two Bedroom: $1000, Three Bedroom: $1500, Three Bedroom Den and Four Bedroom: $2000, Five and Six Bedroom: $2500, Kadenwood Homes: $5000.

Extra Person Charges

Rates are based on the bedding in each property. Adults sleeping on a pull out sofa bed will incur an extra charge of $50.00 CDN per person per night plus taxes. There is no additional fee for children under 18 years of age.

Tax

In the event of tax alterations by the government, Whistler Platinum Reservations Ltd reserves the absolute right to collect the revised tax without prior notice.

Garbage

Each complex has a garbage room. It is the responsibility of the guest to remove garbage. To protect wildlife in Whistler please do not leave garbage outside.

Guest Pre Arrival Forms

Whistler Platinum must receive completed guest pre-arrival forms with requested bed configurations, number of people staying in the property and expected time of arrival a minimum of 15 days prior to arrival date, or reservation may be subject to cancellation.

Hot Tubs

Whistler Platinum ensures that all private hot tubs are maintained regularly. Guest use hot tubs at their own risk. The strata management company for the complex maintains communal hot tubs. If you experience any problems, please call our office. Occasionally, tubs may need to be shut down for maintenance. Such maintenance is unavoidable and is to protect the health of users.

Housekeeping

Your property will be fully cleaned and prepared for your arrival with fresh sheets, towels and amenities. For guests staying eight nights or longer a complimentary mid stay clean and linen change will be scheduled. Laundry facilities are available at all properties either in-suite or in the building. Additional housekeeping services, including daily service, can be arranged for an additional fee and subject to availability.

Internet and Telephones

Wireless Internet access and all local telephone calls are free.

Prices for accommodation and packages are subject to change without notice, and reservations are based on availability. The information, products, and services published on this website may include inaccuracies or errors, including pricing errors. Limit of Liability

The booking guest and all members of the said guest's party (the "Guests") agree to conform to all notices, rules and instructions in and about the home. Guests are responsible for their own conduct and that of any invitees. Manager reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse or interrupt occupancy in the event of any non-fulfillment or breach of rental conditions. Neither the Property Owner nor Manager shall be held liable for any losses, claims, damages, costs or expenses arising out of any theft, accident, injury, death, damage, delay, inconvenience or distress, whether or not arising by the negligence of the Property Owner or Manager and the Guests hereby waive any and all such liability.

A confirmed reservation by e-mail constitutes notice to Guests of these exclusionary terms and Guests are deemed to have read and agreed to the foregoing. The Guest booking this accommodation is responsible for making all members of the party aware of these terms, failing which the said Guest will be held liable to and shall save harmless and indemnify the Property Owner and Whistler Platinum, from any losses, claims, damages, costs or expenses arising as a result thereof.

Should the property become uninhabitable or unavailable, Manager reserves the right to substitute another property for the one which has been booked, with every attempt made to provide a property or properties of similar or better quality. A confirmed reservation by email constitutes notice to Guests of these terms and they are deemed to have read and agreed to the foregoing and to have irrevocably authorized Whistler Platinum accordingly.

Multiple Properties

Please note that all properties are privately-owned and are equipped according to the individual owner's taste and requirements. Groups renting more than one property need to make sure inventory stays in the property. A restocking charge will be deducted from the security deposit if items have been moved to other properties.

Non-Smoking

All of our properties are non-smoking. Any unit with evidence of smoking inside will result in a $500 fine.

Parking

All properties have a specified parking stall for one vehicle. Some larger properties have two parking stalls. There is visitor parking available at most complexes, on a first come, first served basis. The average height clearance is 6ft. 9in. Over sized vehicles are difficult to accommodate in Whistler and parking for such vehicles may not be available at peak times. Parking instructions are unique to each complex and must be followed.

Pets

Pets are permitted only in designated pet friendly properties. We ask that you leave your pets at home as they will be refused entry to a non-designated property. There will be a $500 fine for any pets or evidence of pets found in any non-designated pet-friendly units.

Towels

Adequate quantities of towels will be provided for the number of people booked. Delivery of extra towels is available, upon request.
