About the Home

Goldenwood 8337 is an impressive 3 bedroom plus den, 2 level townhome with a private hot tub located on the 16th fairway of the majestic Nicklaus North Golf course. Just a short 7 minute drive from the slopes, this spacious home boasts panoramic views of both the mountains and Green Lake.

Living Areas

The open concept main level features vaulted ceilings, exposed log posts and beams and a spacious formal living room with a gas fireplace and glass doors leading to the patio and BBQ. The open concept gourmet kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel Bosch and Sub-Zero appliances, radiant heated slate floors and overlooks the grand dining area that seats 10 comfortably. The private hot tub is located on the upper level deck and features scenic views.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

All 3 bedrooms are located on the upper level and each bathroom in the home features radiant floor heating. The master bedroom features a king bed, gas fireplace, a private balcony and small TV and DVD player. The master ensuite features a double vanity, deep soaking tub and a separate glass-enclosed shower. The second bedroom features a queen bed and large dresser. The separate bathroom features a glass-enclosed shower. The third bedroom features 2 twin beds and an ensuite with a bathtub and overhead shower. On the main level, the cozy den features a sofabed for extra guests, small office area, a small TV with DVD player and an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and overhead shower. For added convenience, there is also a powder room located on the main level.

Very professional organization - emails before we arrived and on the day to remind us of where to check in, lift tickets we bought with rental were all set. We ordered groceries from Nesters which arrived when we did.
The Den Restaurant and pub was 2 minutes walk away. Loved the hot tub. Kitchen was one of best stocked with pots/pans that we have stayed in. New, huge washer/dryer was helpful. Underfloor heating in tiled floors downstairs dried out ski boots - also in bathrooms.
Five minute drive to Whistler village - easy to get a taxi when we when out in the evening and didn't want to drive.
Great views of the mountains and the ski slopes when it stopped snowing (50 inches of snow the week we were there so skiing was awesome!)

We had a lovely time staying at Goldenwood 8337. The house was clean, warmly decorated, comfy furniture and lovely views of the golf course (with a peak-a-boo view of the lake). Hot tub and heated floors were wonderful! Kitchen was very nicely appointment with everything we needed to cook Thanksgiving dinner. One thing that needs improvement is the TV / DVD situation. There was no TV / DVD player in the main living room. The only TVs in the house were old / poor quality and were in the master bedroom (would be odd to have the whole family up in the Master bedroom) and another one in the Den (room was too small for more than 2-3 people to watch a movie comfortably). Neither were in a good location for our family to watch a movie together. Would highly recommend a flat screen for the family room. Other than that, we had a lovely time! The BOSE radio and classical CD's were a lovely find! So nice to have some music.

We rented the property to attend our son's wedding at Nicklaus North. It was PERFECT! The townhouse accommodated our family, friends dropped by and overall we had a wonderful time. The only hesitation I would have is that the patio is prone to the odd wayward golf ball, so beware.

Maintenance issues; Dishwasher didn't work, back door didn't close, light in master suite in bathroom wouldn't turn off. These probably should be taken care of before others rent. Property is great, but washing dishes the entire time of the stay was a bit of pain.

Prior to arriving in Whistler we called ahead as instructed to do. The guest staff was very welcoming, professional, and gave simple directions to their check in desk. Check in was very easy, simple direct directions for use of the property and in under 5 mins we were escorted to the home by one of the staff - which made locating the property seamless.

Upon arriving at the home we were given instructions on how to use all of the features including the grill, hot tub etc, and were asked if everything was to our liking. We were also told if we had any questions the front desk was staffed 24 hours and to just call anytime!

The condition of the home is wonderful and what you'd expect at a 4.5 or 5 star hotel (i.e Four Seasons). All surfaces were exceptionally clean, even the garage and laundry room. More so than a hotel room!

The community is very quiet and there are ample walking trails, cc ski trails outside the house. There is also a large yard and patio area that our son enjoyed playing on.

We simply don't have anything bad to say about our experiance. A couple very minor points would be we couldn't find any oven mits in the kitchen and there are no towel hooks or bars in the bath rooms. Also, as others have indicated, the lighting in the master bedroom is VERY dim but not a huge deal.

Bottom line, if you want a 5 star experience in Whistler, I would recommend Whistler Patinum!

We had two families sharing the house with young kids. It was a great arrangement for kids, and lots of space for them to play during the day. Only downside is the distance to the village, but the scenery is beautiful and the space was great. It was an easy drive into the lifts.

we had a nice stay until our last full day, the 19th. Started this day by discovering the stove did not work as I attempted to make family breakfast. The gas/propane had been disconnected to the house. Further we had no gas/propane through out the day which also affected temperature control of the home. Contractors were in/out of the house until 10pm that evening working on the gas conversion! This final day pretty much sucked.....

Would have been nice to have a television in the main living area.

It was a little odd to us that the bedroom adjacent to the bathroom upstairs had twin beds instead of the queen, but it worked out fine. The only issue that I have to complain is the kitchen, there is not enough appliance as glasses, kinfes, spoons, trays, etc.. Very dificult to cook for more that 6 people with what you found there.
However everything was almost perfect, I´ll be back next year.

If you're not going to stay in the village this is the way to go - great house - easily slept 8. We used the grill and the hot tub nearly every day. Nice to come home to a house as opposed to a hotel room. Definitely the way to go for large groups. The heated floors and fireplaces were awesome.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

For bookings made within 60 days of arrival, the full amount will be charged at the time of booking and is non-refundable.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and bank transfers. Payments are non-refundable once processed.

Security Deposit

A security deposit will be required upon arrival. The security deposit will be held by way of a pre-authorization on a valid credit card. Guest (s) will either be required to sign a credit card authorization slip for the amount of the security deposit or enter their PIN for CHIP enabled credit cards. Cheques will not be accepted. The Manager may capture part or all of the security deposit to cover costs for excess cleaning, property damage, missing inventory, and noise violation fines imposed by a strata or the municipality. The amount of your deposit varies depending on the property reserved; One Bedroom: $500, Two Bedroom: $1000, Three Bedroom: $1500, Three Bedroom Den and Four Bedroom: $2000, Five and Six Bedroom: $2500, Kadenwood Homes: $5000.

Extra Person Charges

Rates are based on the bedding in each property. Adults sleeping on a pull out sofa bed will incur an extra charge of $50.00 CDN per person per night plus taxes. There is no additional fee for children under 18 years of age.

Tax

In the event of tax alterations by the government, Whistler Platinum Reservations Ltd reserves the absolute right to collect the revised tax without prior notice.

Garbage

Each complex has a garbage room. It is the responsibility of the guest to remove garbage. To protect wildlife in Whistler please do not leave garbage outside.

Guest Pre Arrival Forms

Whistler Platinum must receive completed guest pre-arrival forms with requested bed configurations, number of people staying in the property and expected time of arrival a minimum of 15 days prior to arrival date, or reservation may be subject to cancellation.

Hot Tubs

Whistler Platinum ensures that all private hot tubs are maintained regularly. Guest use hot tubs at their own risk. The strata management company for the complex maintains communal hot tubs. If you experience any problems, please call our office. Occasionally, tubs may need to be shut down for maintenance. Such maintenance is unavoidable and is to protect the health of users.

Housekeeping

Your property will be fully cleaned and prepared for your arrival with fresh sheets, towels and amenities. For guests staying eight nights or longer a complimentary mid stay clean and linen change will be scheduled. Laundry facilities are available at all properties either in-suite or in the building. Additional housekeeping services, including daily service, can be arranged for an additional fee and subject to availability.

Internet and Telephones

Wireless Internet access and all local telephone calls are free.

Liability Disclaimer

Prices for accommodation and packages are subject to change without notice, and reservations are based on availability. The information, products, and services published on this website may include inaccuracies or errors, including pricing errors. In the event that accommodation or packages are listed or provided to us at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to typographical error or other error in pricing information, Whistler Platinum Reservations Ltd expressly reserves the right to correct any pricing errors on our website and/or on pending reservations made under an incorrect price. In such event, if available, we will offer you the opportunity to keep your pending reservation at the correct price or we will cancel your pending reservation without penalty.

Limit of Liability

The booking guest and all members of the said guest's party (the "Guests") agree to conform to all notices, rules and instructions in and about the home. Guests are responsible for their own conduct and that of any invitees. Manager reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse or interrupt occupancy in the event of any non-fulfillment or breach of rental conditions. Neither the Property Owner nor Manager shall be held liable for any losses, claims, damages, costs or expenses arising out of any theft, accident, injury, death, damage, delay, inconvenience or distress, whether or not arising by the negligence of the Property Owner or Manager and the Guests hereby waive any and all such liability.

A confirmed reservation by e-mail constitutes notice to Guests of these exclusionary terms and Guests are deemed to have read and agreed to the foregoing. The Guest booking this accommodation is responsible for making all members of the party aware of these terms, failing which the said Guest will be held liable to and shall save harmless and indemnify the Property Owner and Whistler Platinum, from any losses, claims, damages, costs or expenses arising as a result thereof.

Should the property become uninhabitable or unavailable, Manager reserves the right to substitute another property for the one which has been booked, with every attempt made to provide a property or properties of similar or better quality. A confirmed reservation by email constitutes notice to Guests of these terms and they are deemed to have read and agreed to the foregoing and to have irrevocably authorized Whistler Platinum accordingly.

Multiple Properties

Please note that all properties are privately-owned and are equipped according to the individual owner's taste and requirements. Groups renting more than one property need to make sure inventory stays in the property. A restocking charge will be deducted from the security deposit if items have been moved to other properties.

Non-Smoking

All of our properties are non-smoking. Any unit with evidence of smoking inside will result in a $500 fine.

Parking

All properties have a specified parking stall for one vehicle. Some larger properties have two parking stalls. There is visitor parking available at most complexes, on a first come, first served basis. The average height clearance is 6ft. 9in. Over sized vehicles are difficult to accommodate in Whistler and parking for such vehicles may not be available at peak times. Parking instructions are unique to each complex and must be followed.

Pets

Pets are permitted only in designated pet friendly properties. We ask that you leave your pets at home as they will be refused entry to a non-designated property. There will be a $500 fine for any pets or evidence of pets found in any non-designated pet-friendly units.

Towels

Adequate quantities of towels will be provided for the number of people booked. Delivery of extra towels is available, upon request.
