Location: Upper Village Distance to Lifts or Trails: Ski-in Ski-out Distance to Village: 12 minute walk
Bedrooms: 4
Capacity: 10
Bathrooms: 4.0
Size: 2500 sq.ft.
Framed by the majestic mountains, this spacious 2500 square foot, 4-bedroom plus den, 4-bath town house, offers one of the best ski-in/ski-out locations at Whistler Blackcomb. Located on Blackcomb Mountain, the Yellow Brick Road ski run is a mere 20 paces from the front door of Pinnacle Ridge #40. Simply clip on your skis or board, head to the bottom of run to board Blackcomb's high-speed lifts for access to the whole mountain, all without ever removing your skis.
If you want to experience Whistler Mountain, a short trip up Blackcomb's Wizard Express allows you to ski to the base of Whistler and its lifts and gondolas. Better yet, experience the new Peak-2-Peak gondola which connects the two mountains from their peaks. You can access every run on Blackcomb and Whistler Mountains directly from your front door.
After a fun-filled day on the slopes, when your legs are tired, you will be happy to ski directly to your garage door. For the younger set, Whistler Kids ski school is located at the bottom of Blackcomb so you can ski straight there. No need to walk in ski boots or carry your little one's skis!
The front door opens into the lower level of the homes and features the entrance foyer, two bedrooms, one full bath, a separate laundry room with plenty of storage and access to the private garage. The main level of the home features vaulted ceilings, a well equipped kitchen, separate den/office with sleeper sofa, a full-bath with steam shower, sunroom, dining area and living room. After a day on the mountain, you can relax by the gas river-rock fireplace and take in the wonderful views of the surrounding mountains from the two-storey floor-to-ceiling windows.
Upstairs to the top floor, there are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms including the master bedroom and ensuite bathroom with jetted tub and separate shower. The vaulted ceilings create a great sense of space on the home's upper level.
Pinnacle Ridge #40 is comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated and features many original paintings by Canadian artists. Small touches like i-Pod clock radios in all bedrooms will make your stay more enjoyable.
For the Olympics, Pinnacle Ridge is ideally located just below Base II and the Sliding Centre (venue for the bobsled, luge, and skeleton events).
In summer months, this home is only a 5 minute hike down Blackcomb Mountain into Whistler's Upper Village, where you will find the kids' Adventure Zone of mini golf, rock climbing walls, a summer toboggan run, bungee trampolines, kiddie camps, and much more! From there, another easy 7 minute walk will take you into Whistler Village and its many activities.

Location is great, but everything else is mediocre at best

The location is good (although you have to have a car) and management is quite helpful. However, the house itself does not meet expectations. Everything is bare minimum: old TV, cheapest fixtures utilities, and kitchen supplies. The TV is 10-15 years-old and barely functions. I think that for the price they charge, they could have delivered more.

A great week at Pinnacle Ridge 40
Donald S. from Greenville, SC, United States stayed here in February, 2011
We have been to Whistler 7 times, but this was by far the best house and location. The bedrooms are arranged so that noise is at a minimum, and the furnishings are very comfortable. The best thing is the location, with a true ski-in, ski-out option. You can walk out, ski to the base and use the Magic chair for the little kids or go to the Wizard chair to go up Blackcomb. To get to Whistler, you can go up either chair and go to the Village Run or download on the Blackcomb Gondola. You can also go to the top of Solar Coaster and ride the Peak2Peak over to Whistler. At the end of the day, it's obviously easy to ski back down Blackcomb to Pinnacle Ridge. However, if you're on Whistler, you can get the Blackcomb Gondola to Base 2, even til 5:00, then walk about 50 feet to the Yellow Brick road and ski down. Our entire family loved it.
