Booking Policies

Booking Policies for Vacation Rental Homes and Condos managed by Whistler Platinum

Payment Schedule

Summer Season: May 1 - November 30: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of room and tax will be charged at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be charged 30 days prior to arrival. If booking is made within 30 days of arrival, the full amount will be charged at time of booking.
Winter Season: December 1 - December 17 & January 1 - April 30: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of room and tax will be charged at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be charged 45 days prior to arrival. If booking is made within 30 days of arrival, the full amount will be charged at time of booking.
Festive Season: December 18 - December 31: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of room and tax will be charged at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be charged 90 days prior to arrival. If booking is made within 90 days of arrival, the full amount will be charged at time of booking.

Cancellation Policy

Security Deposit

Each reservation will be required to provide a security deposit at the time of check-in by way of a pre-authorization on a valid credit card. The security deposit will range from CAD$1000 to CAD$2500 for most properties, and may be up to CAD$5000 for the estate homes such as Kadenwood. Provided no charges are incurred for excess cleaning, property damage or telephone calls, the authorization should be released by the credit card provider approximately 2 weeks after departure.

Extra Person Charges

Every property is priced with a maximum of 2 adults per bedroom. (Dens and Lofts are considered bedrooms) Additional guests will be charged $30.00 (CDN) per person per night. During Festive Season and Winter Holiday dates this will be charged at $50.00 per person, per night.
Please note there are a maximum number of guests allowed in each property. A maximum of One roll away bed per property will be permitted. Guests using a sofa bed or requiring a roll away bed for an additional person will be charged the extra person charge.

Housekeeping

Our self-catering properties will be clean and ready for arrivals. Daily housekeeping is available for an extra fee. For stays of eight days or more, we offer a complimentary midweek clean. All properties have laundry facilities either in the unit or in the building. *** Le Chamois Resort Hotel offers complimentary daily housekeeping.

Towels

Adequate quantities of towels will be provided for the number of people booked. Delivery of extra towels is available, upon request.

Multiple Properties

Please note that all properties are privately-owned and are equipped according to the individual owner's taste and requirements. Groups renting more than one property need to make sure inventory stays in the property a restocking charge will be deducted from the security deposit if items have been moved to other properties.

Parking

All properties have a specified parking stall for one vehicle. Some larger properties have two parking stalls. There is visitor parking available at most complexes, on a first come, first served basis. The average height clearance is 6ft. 9in. Over sized vehicles are difficult to accommodate in Whistler and parking for such vehicles may not be available at peak times. Parking instructions are unique to each complex and must be followed.
** The Aspens, Le Chamois Hotel and Glacier Lodge have paid parking in affect, payable on site.

Garbage

Each complex has a garbage room. It is the responsibility of the quest to remove garbage. To protect wildlife in Whistler please do not leave garbage outside.

Telephones

All local telephone calls are free. Long distance calls must either be charged to your own calling card or placed with a purchased telephone card. Please note that not all U.S. or overseas 800 numbers are accessible from Canada. Telephone cards are available for purchase at many stores throughout Whistler.

Hot Tubs

Wildflower Lodging Company ensures that all private hot tubs are maintained regularly. Guest use hot tubs at their own risk. The strata management company for the complex maintains communal hot tubs. If you experience any problems, please call our office and we shall alert the strata company. Occasionally, tubs may need to be shut down for maintenance. Such maintenance is unavoidable and is to protect the health of users.

Smoking / Pets

All of our properties are non-smoking. Pets should be left at home.

Minimum Age Requirement

All renters must be over the age of 25 years. Renters under the age of 25 years must be accompanied by an adult guardian or parent, who must occupy the property for the duration of the stay. Any reservation made under false pretenses will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment of rent and deposit, and the party will not be permitted to check-in, or the party will be required to leave the rented property.

Bus Arrivals

If you are arriving by Perimeter bus please get off the bus at Le Chamois and proceed to our front desk. Please do not go directly to your accommodation since you will not be able to gain access. If you reserved a property in Village North, Benchlands, Whistler Mountain or outside Whistler please ensure to reserve a "door to door" service with Perimeter bus.

Day Use / Late Check Out - Le Chamois

11:00 am to 5:00 pm - 50% of rack rate plus tax
Beyond 5:00 pm - 100% of rack rate plus tax

Note: For guests staying at Le Chamois, it may be possible to arrange day use of your unit. All Day use is subject to availability and must be pre-arranged with the Manager. The day use rates are net of taxes. To guarantee accommodation for guests with late flights and especially during the Festive Season, it is highly recommended to book an additional night upon reservation.

Guest Pre Arrival Forms

Whistler Platinum must receive completed guest pre-arrival forms with requested bed configurations, number of people staying in the property and expected time of arrival a minimum of 15 days prior to arrival date, or reservation may be subject to cancellation.

December 18th, 2011 to December 30th, 2011:This FREE family fun zone is unparalleled for indoor entertainment and festive activities! Enjoy mini-golf, bouncy castles and video games for the whole family to experience; Santa Claus arrives for the official opening party on December 19 and stays through December 20. Whistler New Years 2011 - Whistler's First Night

Whistler's First Night is a family-friendly, no alcohol New Year's Eve celebration that takes over Whistler's pedestrian only Village Stroll and the TELUS Conference Center. There is always plenty of live music, interactive arts and street entertainment for people of all ages to ring in the new year! With a zero tolerance policy toward alcohol and a great showcasing of talented musicians, actors, comedians and local artists blends into a fun and exciting mix of performing and participatory arts this is one of the top family holiday celebrations in British Columbia!

The lively energy that is First Night gets underway @ 6pm on December 31st which leaves enough time to explore and experience the celebration in its entirety before the new year is upon us. First Night offers a 9:30pm countdown for the younger participants that can't quite last until the actual stroke of midnight. Of course a New Year's celebration cannot exist without fireworks! Locals and visitors alike ring in the New Year sound-tracked by live performances on two stages and memorable fireworks display lighting up the mountains.
