Whistler Ziplining Tours

Whistler Ziplining Tours

Ziplining over Whistler involves moving from treetop to treetop while attached to a cable via a full-body harness. The harnesses attach to a zip pulley via two tethers (one main and one backup) that hang suspended from a half inch galvanized cable. The cable trail is connected to landing platforms. The series of cable cords and suspension bridges move riders over gaping gorges and ice framed rivers. Ziptrek gives guests exclusive access to areas of rare and untouched ancient coastal temperate rainforest. All this only minutes away from Whistler Village.

Ziplining is a year-round high-flying adventure. Whistler features two distinct zipline adventures from which to choose - Superfly and Ziptrek. Located at Cougar Mountain, Superfly's unique system allows two guests to ride side-by-side secured in a seat, each on their own cable during this scenic tour. Ziptrek lets visitors glide in a harness between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains and offers an ecology tour along the way.

Ziptrek will be launching a new zipline spanning over 2 kms, A Zip of pure exhilaration!

The newest zipline set to open in mid-July, will fly guests from a launch high up on Blackcomb Mountain to a landing near mid-mountain on Whistler Mountain, making it the longest zipline in the US and Canada. "This will be a game-changer without a doubt!" says Ziptrek CEO Charles Steele. "For those familiar with the world record breaking Peak to Peak Gondola, this zipline rides a similar path, spanning the 2 Mountains, from a high elevation. You can just imagine the views from up there are simply spectacular, where riders will be able to get an amazing perspective of their complete surroundings. That is, when they take the opportunity to take it all in - because it will be quite the thrill ride!"
