Whistler Children's Art Festival

The Whistler Children’s Art Festival fills Creekside for one weekend a year with art workshops, music, acrobatics, theatre, dance and fun that encourages kids to embrace their imagination! The Festival offers a range of workshops for kids, including pre-school activities for children aged 3-5, intermediate workshops for kids up to grade 8, and workshops for the whole family. The festival aims to introduce young people to the arts in an interactive, supportive, and fun family environment where imaginations can grow.

5 Peaks Trail Running Series

Running over rocks, roots, tree stumps, and logs, up ski hills, hiking trails, through puddles, mud, snow and much more. These courses take people off road and into the hills. The Whistler race will be held in the upper alpine of Whistler Mountain. Navigate through some steep climbs, sharp descents and craggy wilderness trails. Sears Great Canadian Run

The Sears Great Canadian Run is a long distance running relay that brings Canadians together in the unified goal of ending pediatric cancer. Gather members of your relay team for this scenic run on the Sea-to-Sky Trail between Squamish and Whistler, and for an unforgettable finish line celebration in Whistler. In support of the Sears Canada Charitable Foundation, funds will be directed to the 16 pediatric oncology centres across Canada which support the research and treatment of kids cancer.

Jazz on the Mountain at Whistler

Whistler will play host to the newest jazz festival in Canada, September 2-4, 2011. Set in the resort's pedestrian Village, with free and ticketed indoor and outdoor shows, visitors will have the unique opportunity to experience performances and interact personally with jazz greats such as Kevin Eubanks - leader of the NBC Tonight Show Band for 18 years.The three-day festival will showcase 22 performers and 33 shows. Street entertainment is being programmed in conjunction with the Whistler Arts Council, free performances will be featured throughout Whistler Village, and ticketed events will take place indoors at Maurice Young Millennium Place and outdoors at one or more of the many spectacular venues in Whistler.

XTERRA Canadian Open Championships - Off Road Triathlon

A 2010 favourite returns in 2011! Swim in the clear warm waters of Alta Lake at Rainbow Park, followed by two laps of 750m with a short beach run between laps.
