Description Description
Snow settles softly on the evergreens outside, and the quiet above Whistler Village feels a world away from the bustle below. After a day on the mountain, you step inside to the glow of the gas-burning fireplace, boots drying by the door as the warmth rises toward vaulted ceilings. Evenings unfold between the private hot tub and therapeutic steam room, where crisp alpine air and steady heat create an easy rhythm to winter days.

Living space
Spanning three levels, this four-bedroom townhouse is designed for gathering and unwinding. Expansive windows frame forested surroundings and glimpses of the village below, filling the living room with natural light by day and a soft alpine glow at night. A 55" Sony Smart TV anchors the seating area beside the indoor fireplace, while the open flow into the dining and kitchen areas makes it easy to share meals and conversation after time on the slopes. Heating, air conditioning, and portable fans provide comfort in every season.

Kitchen & dining
The kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel KitchenAid appliances, along with a fully equipped kitchen setup for preparing meals at home. The dining table seats eight, creating a comfortable space for long breakfasts before heading out or relaxed dinners together. A BBQ grill and outdoor furniture are available on the balcony, though winter days are best enjoyed indoors or with a quick breath of fresh mountain air.

Sleeping arrangements
The home accommodates up to 10 guests across 4 bedrooms and 7 beds. The upper-level primary bedroom includes a king bed, sitting area, 50" Sony Smart TV, and an ensuite bathroom with heated floors, rain shower, handheld shower, and double vanity. On the main level, the second bedroom offers a king split bed with a nearby bathroom featuring a shower. The lower level includes a third bedroom with a queen bed and a fourth bedroom with two sets of twin bunk beds. An additional bathroom with a shared bathtub and stand-up shower serves this level. With four bathrooms spread across three floors, mornings and evenings flow comfortably for groups.

Spa-style comfort
A private hot tub and therapeutic steam room offer a restorative end to ski days or winter hikes. Soft towels, bathroom essentials, and in-unit washer and dryer add ease to longer stays.

Convenience & amenities
You will have wifi and a dedicated workspace, a private entrance, free parking garage on premises, and self check-in via a smart lock. An indoor fireplace, heating, and air conditioning support year-round comfort.

Location & seasonal ski access
Perched above Whistler Village, the gondolas are about a two-minute drive away. Seasonal ski access is available via an intermediate trail off the Lower Olympic Run. The route ends at roughly 100 stairs above the Northern Lights neighborhood, and guests must descend these stairs to reach the property. To return to the trail, the same stairs must be climbed before reconnecting with the Lower Olympic Run. Ski access is typically available late December through March, depending on snow conditions.

Perfect for
Families and friends seeking forest surroundings, spa-style comforts, and convenient access to Whistler Village with seasonal ski access.

Ski access is dependent on weather and snow conditions, and may vary each season. Typically, ski access is available from late December to late March. Our Guest Services team can confirm snow levels before your arrival upon request.

Guest Access

Guests will have full, private access to the residence, including all bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, and the patio or balcony. A private hot tub is available for your exclusive use. A private garage provides parking for one vehicle. Check-in is contactless, with entry provided via a unique door code. Detailed check-in instructions will be sent prior to arrival.

The Neighbourhood

Northern Lights is perched just above Whistler Village, offering a quiet and scenic setting with sweeping views of the valley and surrounding peaks. Guests enjoy a short walk to the village and the Valley Trail, as well as access to an intermediate-level ski-in/ski-out trail from Whistler Mountain. The location blends alpine seclusion with unbeatable proximity to dining, shopping, and lifts, making it ideal for those seeking both tranquility and convenience.

As usual, the property was sparkling clean with a well equipped kitchen. Conceviently close to the village, it required a little more effort to "ski in" with more than 100 stairs to climb. The heating system was a bit too noisy, especially in the master bedroom. Perhaps some maintainance might be required. Whistler Platinum staff was as helpful as usual. Thanks for a good ski vacation! Claude, Thank you for the five‑star review and for choosing us again. We’re very glad to hear Northern Lights 16 was beautifully prepared for your stay, and that the location near the village and the well‑equipped kitchen added to the ease of your visit. It’s always a pleasure to know our team’s support was helpful throughout. We appreciate the note about the 100+ stairs — that’s helpful for future guests — and I’m sorry the heating noise in the master bedroom was disruptive. We’ll ensure it’s looked into so future stays feel as comfortable as possible. We look forward to welcoming you back for another great ski vacation. Kind regards, Whistler Platinum

GREAT Family Vacation!
This property was PERFECT for our family annual ski trip! The home was clean and comfortable for all. The kitchen was well appointed, better than most rentals we've stayed in in the past. It only needed one larger pot for soup! There was room for plenty of privacy if needed, but gathering in the hot tub at the end of a long day of skiing was just what the doctor ordered. As for ski in, ski out, it's located right off the slope but it's a steep walk up or down the stairs. However, some of us rented our gear (through Epic which) and used the slope side concierge. It was great! You literally pick your ski's/board up right at the slope. The walk down to the village and back is quick and easy as long as you aren't carrying the gear. For those that took their own gear, one of us would drop them off between the Hilton and the Westin and then take the car back to the house. There's also a shuttle that goes around to all the villages which makes exploring fun. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Amazing property, fabulous service!
Wonderful property, great for our crew of family & friends. Well appointed for cooking meals and easy walk into town as well. Whistler platinum was a joy to work with ahead of time & during our stay. Just be prepared for a walk UP 100 stairs to ski in the morning. Good news is it’s a walk down at the end of the day!

The place is a total gem. Hard to find a condo with this many bedroom and a personal hot tub on mountain. A little bit of a hike on the way up the hill, but totally manageable.

Excellent experience at this air bnb with lots of space for our group.
While we didn't do any cooking, the kitchen was very well equipped.
The hot tub was private in a nice setting on a patio looking out over the
greenspace.
Hosts were very responsive. Would definitely book again.

Perfect Spot for a Weeklong Getaway
Our group had such a lovely stay at Northern Lights 16! Spacious townhome and the walk to the slopes or town were both super manageable. Nice large kitchen with lots of cookware, we cooked nearly every day at the house. The private hot tub and steam room were perfect for slope recovery, and made the cozy place feel especially unique. The WP Team was great, we had an issue with an appliance that was quickly resolved, and the midweek hot-tub cleanup showed their attention to detail. Looking forward to staying with WP next time we\'re up -- Alex

Great House for a Family Vacation
Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay in this lovely house. The location was perfect with a 10 min walk to Whistler Village and 10 min walk to the Ski slopes - there are the dreaded 100 steps uphill but it warms the legs up for skiing ! It was a easy access back down in the afternoon directly off the Lower Olympic slope ( well signposted). You would be best with a 4 wheel drive if its very snowy ( or very good snow tyres) as the house is up a steep road but it is cleared & gritted daily, we did manage to get in and out daily after struggling on the first night . The kitchen has had a lovely makeover and the beds were super comfortable, heating was great and internet access very good. Loads of hot water, excellent bathrooms and the hot tub is very private. We would definitely recommend !

We'd Stay Here Again!
Beautiful and very clean house. Communication was excellent throughout the entire stay. The garage, huge gear closet, and outdoor private hot tub were MAJOR bonuses. Lots of extra blankets, and plenty of room for the entire family to hang out together, have dinner together, yet have the kids on their own when the adults wanted to be children free. It was about 0 degrees when we arrived, and the house remained warm throughout the week and was a fantastic retreat after long frigid days of skiing. The specific location, while it is technically ski in/out, is a challenging ski in/out. There are about 3 levels of stairs to climb up, then another 150ft length of an inclined walk to the Olympic Run. With the younger kids, it took about 35-40 min to get down to the gondola base. Everyone else, approx 20-25 min. The Village is about a 10-15 min walk downhill; my elderly parents were winded when walking back and we weren't totally comfortable with my young teen kids walking to and from the village by themselves once it got dark. All in all though, we'd stay here again.

Absolutely Amazing Home!
We had a group of 10 (my parents, my sister\'s family and my family). It was perfect for 6 adults and 4 kids. There was plenty of space for the kids to hang out alone, for the kids to hang out individually, and the same for the adults. Everything was well maintained and very clean. There were plenty of extra blankets, and towels. The private hot tub was excellent, especially followed by the sauna! We were able to use the bbq for burgers one night. We definitely used the laundry machines and pretty much everything in the kitchen. The garage is great for 2 smaller cars (we had 2 big SUVs, and had to park one directly in front, but that was no problem), and there is a ton of room for everyone\'s ski gear inside and out of the house. There isn\'t really a direct route to the village or to the slopes, so with little kids, it was tough to get them up the steep and often slippery steps, and then another incline to the Lower Olympic ski run, all before skiing down to the base; and for my elderly parents, it was a bit of a long walk to and from the village. All in all though, we would even consider purchasing a place here!

Whistler Wine Festival get away
We had a wonderful time at your property. It truly is only a 10 minute walk down hill to the village. For the couple of friends that were with us and weren't as mobile a short taxi ride was available (about 10$). We had a small issue with the Hot tub, we contacted Whistler Platinum and someone came out within an hour and helped to get it going again! Now that's service! There were 8 of us.. so there was plenty of space for all of us. The only downside was we all complained of the hard mattresses.. but pretty minor.

Spacious townhome, perfect for large groups and has amazing views
We had a group of 7 adults and we found the property to have plenty of space for everyone. I see that other reviews have already described the inside layout, so I will skip that part. All the beds were comfortable and we all enjoyed restful sleep during our stay. The guest services staff were very accommodating and made every effort to ensure our group enjoyed the stay. We really appreciated the mid-stay cleaning offered during our stay. Overall, this property is perfect for a ski vacation as the walk up the stairs to the mountain is reasonable. Tips for your stay: - The property is about a 10 minute walk down the hill into the village, and most often we took a cab back up at the end of the night which was about 10 CAD including tip. - You MUST go to Earls for happy hour and try the spinach dip, ahi tuna poke bowl...on second thought just try everything we loved it all. - Lift Coffee Company was our favorite coffee shop. - "Fresh Tracks" - Totally worth it especially on a powder day, so try to get your tickets in advance.

Highly recommend this property for a group
Excellent property , well appointed with lots of room for a larger group to spread out. Just be mindful, there is a walk every day down into the village or a walk back up the hill.

Beautiful accommodation, great if you do not have a car as close to all amenities and village.

Perfect layout for a large group
This 3-storey townhome was a great space for a large (up to 10 people) group of keen skiers and boarders. Entrance was on the top floor via a key pad, where there was a drying room, garage and foyer, so handy for the ski gear. The master room was also accessed from this floor and was a private retreat away from the other bedrooms, with a sitting space and large bathroom and shower, and underfloor heating. The lounge, dining and kitchen were on the second level open plan and provided comfortable place to gather. A twin bedroom was located on the other-side of the wood fireplace, and it was possible to see through to this bedroom so privacy is an issue here. Also a cupboard containing a washer and dryer was next to the kitchen. On the lowest level were the 2 remaining bedrooms - one with a queen bed (would be better is could be a split King) and the other with 2 bunks (4 beds). All bedrooms had wardrobes. A den which opened out to the large hot tub, provided another TV area and lounge. A steam room and Jack and Jill bathrooms provided ample showering. Location was about a 10 minute walk down to Village via road. SKi access was available via the 100 stairs to the lower Olympic run, which we found was quicker and more convenient but it was a good warm up each morning. Depending on the snow, it was possible to ski/board to the top (or partway down) the stairs, at the end of the day. We all loved this townhome and the views from the large double storey glass windows.

Excelent Property!!!
That was perfect for 10 people!!! The hot tub was an excelent deal for the afterski. The house is 2 min. drive to Whistler Village. There is a complete kitchen where we could have all meals and the leaving room has a terrific view from the window.

Perfect home for our group of 10!
This house was the best accommodation for our family get together. Roomy enough for everyone to have their own space and very clean! Close to Whistler Village, restaurants and shopping.

Mid-winter break 2014
Nice newer kitchen and bathrooms. Ski in/out is a bit overstated- you have to hike up several flights of stairs which gets tiring for ski out. Ski in was much easier. Easy walk to Whistler Village, and easy drive to Westin to drop off kids for ski school. Owners Assoc did a great job plowing and sanding streets. A few needs: 1. New frying pans & griddle. A complete set of dishes would be better than the random mix 2. Sharper knives. 3. The furnace is a bit loud when it cycles on, though house was never cold. House has great ski storage. Overall, a very comfortable house for a week.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in Whistler and the comfort this home offers. Your feedback is important to us and we have adjusted our timing and property description to the ski trails to more accurately reflect the stairs involved. We have also passed along your feedback to the Owner in regards to the dishes and pans and maintenance has been informed of the dull knives. Thanks again for sharing your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back to Whistler again soon. Kind Regards, The Whistler Platinum Team

A great Christmas at 16 Northern Lights
We stayed at #16 over Christmas and New Year 2013 and had a fantastic stay. Highlights include: - great location (2 mins drive from ski school drop off and a 10 mins walk up the steps to the ski in slope); - well kept property, it had everything we needed; - helpful support from Platinum to book ski school, restaurants, sleigh ride etc; - watching the new year fireworks from the hot tub - the best position in town! All in all a fantastic stay with our only gripe being that we regularly ran out of hot water.

Stunning
love it! Everything a family needs. The perfect compromise for the teenagers that want to be right in the village and the adults that want a quieter location. Walking distance to the village, trails, and lakes. However you do need to be able to walk up a fairly long hill on the way home.

Fantastic property
Fantastic property. But be warned re: ski-in/ski-out. On the ski-out point, yes, it is possible to ski-out but you must first walk approx. 50m to a set of stairs. Then once the stairs finish, it's approx 100m hike up the mountain. You'll count that as your warm-up every day!

Northern Lights 16
A well appointed house with a fine view. Cutlery and crockery rather chunky. A good walk up from the village and the climb up to the piste wakes one up before skiing. Whistler Platinum staff were very helpful although I was disappointed that they forgot to tell us that the lock combination had changed on our last day so we returned to the house to check out we could not get in and had to call them to discover the new combination.

Excellent Stay
The property was in excellent condition and had just undergone a reno so all the kitchen appliances where brand new and high end. A nice touch was that they set up the old fridge in the garage for extra refrigerator space. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need in order to cook just about any meal. 8 person dinning room table and 8 person hot tub were nice touches for accomodations built for 8 people. The only downside was that there wasn't a shower on the main floor where there is one bedroom, instead there is a laundry room. Aswell, be prepared for a 5-10 minute climb to get to the Lower Olympic trial up about 80 stairs and some serious inclines. Not a show stopper by any means but something to be mindful of. Overall, an excellent property to rent.
